Cornish Chef Ben Palmer made history in 2024 as the first Great British Menu winner from Cornwall, impressing judges with his Golden Beetroot starter showcased in the Paris Banquet. Prior TV appearances include reaching the quarter finals of Masterchef: The Professionals in 2011.

His dream of joining Great British Menu came true this year, leading to industry recognition, including the 'Best Chef Award' at the Trencherman’s Guide event.

Ben's ventures include The Sardine Factory Restaurant, awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2020 for its locally sourced menu overlooking Looe's harbor.

In 2022 Ben went onto open Yamas, a modern Greek restaurant in the same Cornish town, offering a superb array of traditional Greek cuisine which Ben developed through a close personal relationship with the country.
