Retail Manager

The Sea, The Sea Chelsea

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Retail Manager to join our growing team. As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the retail store on a day-to-day basis. We’re looking for someone with exceptional customer service, to ensure that the store is visually appealing and organised. You’re someone who stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends and make necessary adjustments to sales and marketing strategies to ensure the store is meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the retail store, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.
• Monitor inventory levels, and ensure appropriate ordering, receiving, and stocking of products.
• Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, with displays that effectively showcase products.
• Manage customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses, and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-3 years of retail management experience, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing staff effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and senior management.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising principles and practices, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and experience with retail point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting.

WAITING STAFF

CHELSEA AND HACKNEY

Representing The Sea, The Sea in a customer-facing role, we’re looking for a talented and experienced Front of House team member to join our team. Serving discerning customers, you’ll be passionate about the food we serve and delivering an unforgettable dining experience to our patrons. Our guests are all well-versed in the London food scene, so you’ll need to meet and exceed the highest standards set by the industry but with charm and approachability. Working closely with our kitchen team, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of our menu, cooking techniques, and produce that you’ll relay to diners. Training will be provided to help you know our wine list inside and out and you’ll be kept up to date with all developments in the kitchen at all times. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to deal with demanding customers and difficult situations with ease. You will also have the opportunity to assist our retail team and doing so will provide a perfect opportunity to cross-train and may open avenues for future progression within the business.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain high service standards and enhance guest experience
• Responsible for upholding hygiene and health and safety standards
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• A passion for food and wine, in particular seafood
• A willingness to learn and improve knowledge
• Dedication to the brand and ethos of the company
• Reporting directly to the General Manager
• Minimum 2 years experience in a high level restaurant in a similar role
• Willingness to assist in the retail side of the business where required

Chef de Partie

The Sea The Sea, located in Chelsea, is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Executive Chef, Leandro Carreira, and Head Chef to create innovative and exciting seafood dishes using the most stunning UK produce.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef to develop and execute new menu items
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are properly trained in food preparation and safety
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies
  • Monitor food waste and make recommendations for reducing waste and improving efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef de Partie, with a strong background in seafood cooking
  • A passion for using local and sustainable ingredients
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
