Our Mediterranean tuna is caught wild and then finished in pens at sea. The whole practice is closely regulated for maximum sustainability, top quality and total traceability.
Our tuna is supplied by Balfego. Their tuna is AENOR and B Corp certified. Using special nets they only catch adult bluefin tuna (with an average age of 10 years). Bluefin tuna reach sexual maturity at 4 year so each fish has around 6 cycles of reproduction before being caught.The tuna is killed using ike jime which promotes higher quality fish and a more humane death.
